CD Projekt Red accounts for 25% of Poland's entire video games industry's revenue

CD Projekt Red generates 25% of the revenue of the entire Poland’s gaming industry. This is according to a report from Game Industry Conference titled “The Game Industry of Poland.”

In 2019, the country’s video games industry generated an unprecedented 479 million euros. This is thanks to 9,710 people working in the industry across 440 development studios capable of releasing 480 new titles annualy.

In 2019, out of 479 million euros, CD Projekt Red, the country’s biggest gaming company, accounted for just over a quarter, 117 million euros. The company also employs about 10% of Polish gaming industry’s entire workforce.

On a related note, the Polish gaming market is relatively small. According to the report, there are only 16 million players in the country; the total volume of the gaming market in Poland is estimated at $ 596 million.
