GfK: Animal Crossing, FIFA and The Last of Us Part II top Europe’s 2020 half-yearly charts
A study by data and analytics company GfK found that three titles dominated the European video games boxed charts in the first half of 2020: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, FIFA 20, and The Last of Us Part II.
The study also looked at the individual markets for each title.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons was particularly popular in Western and Central Europe and dominated sales in Germany, France and the UK. It also performed well in Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
FIFA 20’s biggest markets were in Southern Europe (Italy, Spain and Portugal), Northern Europe (Denmark and Norway) and Eastern Europe (Poland and Russia).
Finally, The Last of Us Part II sold best in Sweden, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Brazil.
