Google has announced the nominees for this year’s Google Play Awards.

The short list spans 9 categories (some are different from last year) and includes apps and games that offer outstanding quality, strong design, technical performance, and innovation. Several teams of experts chose the nominees based on their store ratings, Android vitals, and whether the title had had a launch or major update over the last year.

The winners will be announced on May 6 right before Google I/O developer conference. It will be the fourth time the tech giant has held Google Play Awards.
