Newzoo predicts that RPG will become the highest-grossing genre in 2022

Analysts did not say exactly how much the genre will earn. But according to their data, 63% of revenue will go to mobile games, another 21% to console games, and 16% to PC titles.

Now gamers spend an average of 18.8 hours per month on RPG, calculated in Newzoo. The most popular game on PC is Genshin Impact, and on consoles is Elden Ring.
