The Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation proposed to regulate the NFT market
The Russian authorities are discussing the possibility of controlling the NFT market in the country. The Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation held a meeting with representatives of the Central Bank and business, at which it proposed to make several changes to the laws. In particular, to establish the legal status of the NFT and to prescribe the issues related to the issuance and circulation of tokens, as well as consumer protection.
According to Kommersant, the proposal was generally supported. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, whose task it is to regulate such areas, stated in a commentary for the newspaper that it is not currently working on controlling the NFT.
