DStars has revealed the shortlist of nominees for its annual DStars Awards. The event will celebrate the best Italian games and developers of 2022.
Martha is Dead
Ahead of the upcoming DStars Connects conference, more than 160 Italian developers have casted their votes for the studios and projects they believe have contributed the most to the local game development scene last year.
Below you can see the nominees in the selected categories.
Best New Studio (awarded to the Italian studio with the best debut game released on the market in 2022):
- Axel Fox
- HOOK
- BitNine
- Safe Place Studio
- Pixel Conflict
Studio of the Year (awarded tothe studio that achieved the most important international results in terms of positioning/brand awareness):
- Reply Game Studios
- Santa Ragione
- LKA
- Bad Vices Games
- Stormind Games
Game of the Year (awarded to the best Italian video game released on the market in 2022, no Early Access):
- Soulstice (Reply)
- Ravenous Devils (Bad Vices)
- Martha is Dead (LKA)
- Saturnalia (Santa Ragione)
- Hell is Others (Yonder)
The Game World Observer team will also award one games industry professional for their contribution to the Italian dev scene in 2022.
