The analytical company Sensor Tower looked at which genres of mobile games were leading last year in terms of revenue and downloads. We share the tops.

Top 5 genres by revenue:

▪️RPG — $20.2 billion (-14% per year);
Strategy — $16.3 billion (-7% per year);
▪️Puzzles — $9.1 billion (-4% per year);
▪️casino — $8 billion (-1% per year);
▪️shooters — $4.6 billion (-22% per year).

Top 5 genres by downloads:

▪️Hyper-casual games — 12.3 billion (-10% per year);
▪️Arcades — 5.9 billion (-3% per year);
▪️simulators — 4.8 billion (the same number of downloads was in 2021);
▪️puzzles — 4.5 billion (-8% per year);
▪️lifestyle games — 3 billion (-11% per year).
