Sensor Tower has bought the Pathmatics marketing platform — this is the company's first M&A deal

Sensor Tower announced the purchase of the analytical marketing platform Pathmatics, which was the first transaction of its kind for the company. Its amount is disclosed. It is known that Sensor Tower will now be able to provide its users with more tools and sources for mobile analytics.Pathmatics confirmed this information on May 24 on its official website.

Part of the amount was received from the investment firm Riverwood Capital, which last year already invested $ 45 million in Sensor Tower.

The

transaction was officially completed on May 17.

Thanks to the purchase of Pathmatics, new functions will appear on the Sensor Tower platform. Among them are analytics tools for TikTok, the mobile version of YouTube, Snapchat and digital TV, as well as advanced tools for collecting metrics of mobile applications and mobile advertising.

As TechCrunch notes, all 60 Pathmatics employees will join Sensor Tower, some of whom will occupy senior positions. Alexey Malafeev will remain CEO, and Gabe Gottlieb, CEO of Pathmatics, will take the post of strategic director.

Pathmatics is a California—based company founded in 2011. During this time, 250 brands have become its customers, and more than 7 thousand people use the platform in total. Since 2018, the Pathmatics user base has grown by 200%.
