App Annie now shows the share of paid downloads in competitors' apps
App Annie analytical platform has introduced a new tool. It’s called Paid & Organic Downloads. With its help, users of the platform can see which share of downloads in competitors’ games is paid, and which is organic.
As far as can be understood from the announcement, data on both traffic sources can be displayed on one chart.
App Annie believes that this will help companies in estimating the amounts that are needed to promote applications. “The new data set allows you to compare costs with competitors and track how many paid downloads a competitor received before organic growth began,” writes Averie Wong, the company’s manager.
According to the campaigns conducted by competitors, it is possible to carry out details. With the help of the new tool, it is possible to find out which videos and banners another company used, which network it resorted to, which channels showed the best result.
The new functionality is paid. How much it will cost customers in App Annie is not reported.
