White Nights St.Petersburg 2016: App Annie named the most profitable mobile gaming companies in Russia, the Baltic States and the CIS
The top earning mobile gaming companies from Russia, the Baltic States and the CIS are Playrix, Nordcurrent and Game Insight. This was announced at the White Nights St.Petersburg 16 conference by App Annie Vice President Justin Rapp.
In total, during his report, ten of the highest-grossing gaming companies and download leaders were named.
The absolute leader in revenue was named the Russian company Playrix with headquarters in Vologda.
Exactly how much the companies earn per month was not named. However, Pixonic, which took 7th place in the top, previously announced that it earned $1.3 million last April (EDIT: App Annie mentioned data for the first quarter of 2016, when monthly revenues averaged $860 thousand).
The Moscow company ZeptoLab was named the leader in downloads. Recall that the total downloads of her Cut the Rope franchise have crossed the 750 million mark.
Justine also noted three games in her report.
- Shadow Fight 2 by Nekki, which, according to him, in 2015 entered the world’s Top 10 RPG games by downloads;
- Township from Playrix, which was released in Chinese tops without a local publisher;
- Fishdom by Playrix, which reached 9th place in the American box office Top 9 in the puzzle genre.
