The company carried out the distribution of genres in two steps. First, based on the data obtained, she identified four basic genres. They were: action movies (action), strategy (strategy), puzzles (puzzle) and casinos (social casino).
There were no surprises at this stage. The most popular direction for men is action movies. As for the female audience, they mostly prefer puzzles.
At the second stage, the distribution was already in narrower directions. And then everything turned out to be much more interesting. For example, endless runners is a rare genre that enjoys approximately equal popularity among men and women. But the builders, as it turned out, are a man’s patrimony.
Another interesting point is the fundamental difference between the audiences of poker and slots. The first type of games is predominantly male, the second is female.
Yes, one of the most popular types of games among the female audience are three-in-a-row projects. Only now, given the dislike of the “weak” half for role-playing projects, it is better not to mix them with each other, as many do today with an eye to the Japanese market.
