General Intuition has raised $220 million. It trains AI on gameplay walkthroughs

The American AI company General Intuition has received substantial investments in its new funding round. As a result, its market valuation has reached $6.2 billion.

General Intuition is focused on the development of commercial AI systems, including those for robotics. For training purposes, the company uses data from Medal, a platform where gamers share gameplay recordings. According to General Intuition, games simulate the real world, enabling the rapid collection of data on causal relationships and object interactions without the need to replicate everything in real life.

The company asserts that it is not interested in creating games, game engines, or asset generation systems. Nevertheless, General Intuition has previously collaborated with Epic Games. Together, they worked on Mira, an interactive model that uses AI to simulate a Rocket League-like multiplayer game.

This is not the first funding round for General Intuition. In October 2025, it secured $134 million, and in June 2026, it raised an additional $320 million.

The current round was led by Valor Equity Partners, with participation from Atreides, 776, Point72, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst.
