A translator previously working with Warhorse Studios, known for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, asserts he was "dismissed and substituted by AI."

Max H., in a message on Reddit authenticated by the Kingdom Come moderation team, indicated that he was summoned to a meeting on March 27 and informed—without prior notice—that his role would be rendered "obsolete" as part of a move to enhance efficiency and reduce costs by implementing AI for translation tasks.

Max H., who had worked at Warhorse Studios for nearly four years, expressed surprise and sadness at the announcement. Although AI use for translation had been a topic of frequent discussion—something he had always opposed—he never anticipated it would lead to his job being eliminated.

He admitted that he had considered the possibility before but believed his contributions were sufficiently valued to avoid immediate vulnerability.

In expressing his disappointment over missing his team at the office, Max commented on the broader impact of AI expansion, stating: "The increasing reliance on AI significantly influences people in gaming and other sectors. It's important to recognize how much value such companies place on their employees' work, and the overall workplace environment."

Addressing Warhorse management, Max stated: "While I won't breach my NDA, seek to regain my position, or pursue legal action, I refuse to stay silent about my experience."

Warhorse Studios has not yet addressed the claims publicly. GamesIndustry.biz has sought their response.
