Neowiz is "actively exploring" the use of AI to automate "routine operational tasks"
Neowiz, the creator of Lies of P, is examining the potential of generative AI to boost its publishing operations.
In a discussion with Game Informer, co-CEO Sean Kim shared plans to apply "advanced learning tools" for research and development to help streamline tasks such as test processing and analyzing high volumes of data.
According to Kim, using AI can expedite workflows, allowing teams to concentrate on enhancing core strategies with partners for optimal player engagement.
The ability to process data more rapidly will enable teams to make better strategic choices to support developers and interact with the community more effectively.
Kim highlighted that virtually every gaming company in Korea employs AI to some extent, with many leveraging tools like ChatGPT or Gemini.
Similarly, Krafton declared last October its intent to adopt an "AI-first" strategy as part of its organizational restructuring.
The publisher intends to treat AI as a fundamental tool for problem-solving to drive individual and organizational transformation, boost productivity, and enhance long-term corporate value.
Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han expressed a commitment to evolving as an organization that fosters member growth and embraces challenges through AI.
In November, Krafton also introduced a voluntary exit program, emphasizing that reorganization was not aimed at reducing staff numbers.
The primary goal is to empower employees to decide their growth trajectories and pursue new opportunities in the era of AI advancement, either within or outside the company.
