Krafton introduces a voluntary resignation initiative as it aims to evolve into an "AI-first company"

Krafton has initiated a voluntary exit scheme as it intensifies its efforts toward becoming an "AI-first company."
In the previous month, the publisher behind Subnautica 2 and PUBG, Krafton, disclosed plans for transformation into an "AI-first company" prior to revealing its "record-high cumulative" figures in the Q3 2025 financial results. The company aims to place AI at the core as a primary tool for addressing challenges and is committed to driving change within individuals and the organization to enhance productivity across the board, while boosting corporate value over the medium to long term.
Recently, as of November 12, Krafton has begun inviting Korean employees to apply for special severance offerings, which are estimated to range from six to 36 months' salary, based on the employee's grade and duration of service.
As reported by Business Korea and summarized by Automaton, Krafton emphasizes that the restructuring is not aimed at reducing staff numbers.
A representative from Krafton explained to Business Korea that the principal goal is to assist employees in actively planning their professional growth and embracing new opportunities both within and outside the company in this era of AI transformation. The initiative is designed to enable employees to choose to pursue the internal changes or explore options externally on their own terms.
