Krafton, known for publishing Subnautica 2 and PUBG, is repositioning its strategies to emphasize becoming an "AI-first company."

The organization plans to centralize AI in resolving issues, boosting both personal and organizational changes, enhancing company efficiency, and driving its future value and growth.

According to a statement provided in Korean, which was translated via machine, Krafton announced its intention to fully overhaul its structure and allocate $69.7 million, equivalent to 100 billion Korean won, for creating a new GPU cluster dedicated to advanced reasoning and planning.

Additionally, an investment of $20.8 million, or 30 billion won, will be directed towards upskilling its personnel in AI tool usage.

Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han remarked, "From today onwards, Krafton will streamline operations using Agentic AI and entirely incorporate an AI-focused administration system, enabling team members to concentrate on inventive and intricate problem-solving activities."

"We aim to advance as a company by fostering member development and expanding the scope of corporate challenges through AI innovation."

Elsewhere, it was reported that Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer indicated the company's AI applications are primarily for enhancing security and moderating Xbox Live, without enforcing its use in creative processes.
