Jessica Jung, previously a project manager lead at Niantic, has taken up a new role at Supercell. She's spearheading the company's "first AI Innovation Lab" based in San Francisco. Jung accepted the position after receiving a compelling offer.

In a recent LinkedIn announcement, Jung shared her excitement about leading the lab. She noted that Supercell aims to push AI boundaries and create groundbreaking entertainment categories.

"Supercell, having revolutionized mobile gaming more than a decade ago, is now set to innovate once again," Jung remarked, as reported by MobileGamer.

Prior to this, Jung was working on establishing her own AI business focused on interaction models and multimodal agents. She also contributed to Niantic’s augmented reality virtual pet application.

Jung's vision for the new endeavor involves fostering creativity among developers using AI to craft innovative interaction experiences. "We're starting from scratch, aiming to empower developers with AI to explore unprecedented creative possibilities," she stated.

In related developments, Supercell has enhanced its stake in Space Ape, as reported by their acquisition of the London-based firm in November 2024. Read more about the acquisition here.
