SteamDB now allows you to track games whose developers have used generative AI
Thanks to the new toolkit of the analytical service, it's now possible not only to find projects on Steam that are created and promoted with the participation of artificial intelligence but also to count their number.
This function is implemented through a system of tags. On the service’s website, you simply need to go to the tags section and select AI Content Disclosed.
Following this, the system will provide a table with a list of games.
At the time of writing, it had nearly 6,000 names. Among the games with AI content mentioned in the table are titles such as Call of Duty, Stellaris, The Outlast Trials, and Sins of a Solar Empire II.
Important: the tag is assigned by SteamDB, not loaded from Steam. When assigning it, the analytical service relies on the information in the game's profile.
Remember, in January 2024, Steam allowed the publication of projects with AI content, but required developers to inform users about it with a special label.
On the official SteamDB account on the social network X, it's noted that the tag was introduced in response to requests from players looking to filter projects that use AI.
