Nintendo acknowledges the creative potential of AI but also notes that it comes with certain challenges

Nintendo acknowledges the rising interest in generative AI while emphasizing its commitment to offering unique value that transcends technological advancements.

During a Q&A session with investors, Shuntaro Furukawa, the company's president, expressed caution about the intellectual property challenges associated with AI, reaffirming confidence in Nintendo's extensive experience in crafting exceptional gaming experiences.

"The gaming sector has utilized AI for controlling enemy characters, showing a longstanding relationship between game development and AI technology," Furukawa remarked, according to a report by Tweak Town.

"Generative AI, although more creative, presents intellectual property concerns. We pride ourselves on decades of knowledge in delivering premium gaming experiences and aim to maintain our distinctive value beyond technological limits."
