The French company Twin Sails Interactive, which has published numerous video game adaptations of board games, has announced its separation from Asmodee Group. It will now operate independently.

It has been reported that the publisher was bought out by its own management. The amount Asmodee Group valued Twin Sails Interactive at is unknown.
CEO Nicolas Godement will continue to lead Twin Sails Interactive, and other staff members will retain their positions. Currently, the company employs around 20 people.
Twin Sails Interactive hopes that gaining independence will allow it to work more flexibly. In turn, the deal enables Asmodee Group to fully concentrate on the board game business.
Twin Sails Interactive was founded in 2016. Initially, it operated under the name Asmodee Digital, but in 2022, it rebranded. The company's portfolio includes adaptations of board games such as Gloomhaven, Arkham Horror, and Carcassonne. Twin Sails Interactive has also released several original video games, including Bloomtown: A Different Story and Ember Knights.
Asmodee Group itself is part of the Embracer Group structure. In February 2025, as part of the holding's restructuring, it began to trade separately on the stock exchange but continued to report to Embracer Group's head Lars Wingefors.
