On the morning of February 28, Monster Hunter Wilds was released on PC and consoles. According to SteamDB, the game launched on Steam with a massive peak concurrency of 987,482 players.

Update at 18:00: The Steam version of Monster Hunter Wilds surpassed 1.3 million concurrent players. This places the Capcom game sixth among the top titles with the highest concurrency in Steam history.
This is one of the best results in Steam's history. Due to its immense popularity, Monster Hunter Wilds managed to secure the eighth spot among games with the highest number of simultaneous users ever on the platform. It surpassed hits like Elden Ring (953,426 players), Hogwarts Legacy (879,308 players), and Baldur’s Gate 3 (875,343 players).
