Analyst: Dynasty Warriors: Origins earned over $21 million on Steam, surpassing the box office of other January releases
The founder of the analytics service GameDiscoverCo, Simon Carless, examined the gross revenue in Steam for new releases in January 2025. The highest-grossing release last month was Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins
The Koei Tecmo game was released on January 17 and, according to the analyst, earned $21.4 million on Steam by the end of the month. Carless noted that Dynasty Warriors: Origins sold excellently in China, but he did not disclose figures on regional sales.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, so the game's total earnings should be even higher.
