Xbox introduces cloud gaming to LG Smart TVs

LG Electronics and Xbox have collaborated to integrate the Xbox App into LG Smart TVs.

Starting February 18, several LG Smart TVs will support the Xbox App, which allows members of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to stream a selection of titles from their gaming library using cloud technology.

Xbox has detailed that users with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can enjoy games through the Xbox app located in LG’s Gaming Portal, using a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller for cloud gaming. More information can be found on the official Xbox announcement.

Subscribers can also play certain games outside the Game Pass library, offering more flexibility in game access, according to a statement by Xbox. Lori Wright, corporate vice-president of gaming partnerships and business development at Xbox, emphasized that this expands the ways players can experience their preferred games.

Meanwhile, Microsoft's initiative to enable Android users to purchase and play Xbox console games through the app has faced delays. This setback is linked to the ongoing legal conflict involving Google and Epic Games, as noted in a recent report.
