The creative unit from Bungie has transitioned to PlayStation Studios, aiming to enhance its live service game offerings.

This development was shared by Bridget O'Neill, who previously served as senior creative director at Bungie, through a LinkedIn post. She mentioned the team's purpose is to establish a creative foundation within PlayStation.

O'Neill also revealed her new position as senior director of creative at PlayStation Studios.

"It's thrilling to contribute our Bungie experience to other studios crafting live service games," she stated.

"Developing live service games is uniquely challenging, but the collaboration between PlayStation and Bungie is poised to expedite the creation of new games in this competitive arena."

Previously in July, Bungie had let go of 220 employees, which was 17% of its workforce.

In this move, 155 roles transitioned to Sony Interactive Entertainment, including 75 individuals establishing a new PlayStation studio focused on one of Bungie's projects.

Back in 2022, Sony acquired Bungie for $3.6 billion, and it now operates as Sony's independent subsidiary.
