Mobile publisher Tamatem Games from Jordan raised $11 million. Among the investors was Krafton

The Jordanian publisher Tamatem Games, specializing in mobile games, has conducted a new round of financing. The company received $11 million from investors, including Krafton.

In addition to the PUBG developer, Endeavour Catalyst and Venture Souq funds have also invested in Tamatem Games.

With the help of the money raised, the publisher wants to strengthen its position in the Saudi Arabian market — 70% of its game users live in this country. Tamatem Games plans to hire more employees in local offices, which will allow more active publishing of games both in Saudi Arabia and in other Arab countries.

In addition, the company is going to open educational courses for gaming specialists.

“We see huge potential in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa. We are glad that our investment journey in this region began with such a prolific publisher as Tamatem Games,” commented Anuj Tandon from Krafton on the investment.

Tamatem Games was founded in 2013. Now the publisher’s portfolio contains over 50 games, which have collected a total of 100 million downloads. To date, the company has received $17.5 million from investors, which makes it one of the most funded startups in the region.
