AppMagic analysts found out which mobile publishers in Turkey collected the largest box office, and which — the most downloads in the first half of 2021.

It should be noted that analysts’ interest in the Turkish market arose for a reason.

At the beginning of the year, it became clear that Turkish titles are gaining popularity around the world. For example, in May, the Startups.watch research platform learned that 20 places in the top 100 most downloaded mobile games in the United States are occupied by projects originally from Turkey. Also in the first quarter, Turkish startups (not only gaming) were in 10th place in terms of investment in Europe and in second place among the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.

The most profitable publisher in Turkey was Peak Games, known for games such as Toon Blast and Toy Blast. She alone managed to earn twice as much as all the other publishers from the box office top 10 combined. Its revenue amounted to $244.3 million, while its closest competitor, Dream Games, reached only $35.6 million in the first half of the year.

At the same time, the revenue of Dream Games grew by 14,344% at once compared to the second half of 2020 due to the success of the Royal Match game. Then the publisher earned only $ 244 thousand.

By the way, Dream Games was founded in 2019 by people from Peak Games.

Top 10 Turkish mobile publishers by downloads

The best download in the first half of this year was Good Job Games, which specializes in hyper-casual titles like Run Race 3D. During this period, her games were downloaded 258 million times. Despite the impressive result, it is still 20% less compared to 2020.

But two other companies showed rapid growth: Rollic Games and Alticus. Both are also hyper—casual publishers.

Rollic Games has grown 31 times, collecting 128.8 million downloads mainly with the help of the Hair Challenge runner. As a result, the publisher became the second in terms of installations in the top. Alticus took the third place, increasing by 132% and reaching 121.3 million downloads.
