Microsoft has denied rumors about the support of Android applications on Xbox
Android apps won’t appear on Xbox. Microsoft‘s plans to add their support to the console were discussed at the end of last week. But now the company’s representatives have said that this is not true.
This was reported by the Android Authority portal, which contacted Microsoft.
As the representative of the company explained, the rumors started because of an error in the description of the Windows Subsystem for Android program. Recall that the system requirements for it indicated that you can test Android support on both Windows 11 and Xbox One. However, Microsoft wasn’t really going to run Android apps on their consoles.
The description of Windows Subsystem for Android has already been fixed.
At the end of June, Microsoft announced that it would add Android support to Windows 11. She later clarified that this would happen at least a few months after the release of the new operating system. It will take place on October 5.
