Microsoft has officially unveiled the updated Xbox Store
The store will become much faster and safer. The beta version for Xbox Insider program participants will be available on August 5.
Microsoft has introduced an updated version of the store for Xbox in its blog. In addition to the redesign, it has become much faster, safer and easier to use. The new version of the Xbox Store will be available to members of the Xbox Insider program on August 5, and a full launch is scheduled for the fall.
The company notes that the launch time of the new Microsoft Store on Xbox will be less than two seconds. The work speed has also more than doubled.
Microsoft has completely redesigned the navigation inside the store, including a filter system, a wish list and a shopping cart (now it will become much easier to add and view products).
Now, to surf inside the store, you must log in to your account, which in turn will help users see more personalized recommendations. This also includes an improved parental control system, which will protect children from unwanted content.
Details about the work of the new store were shown in the Xbox Live’s Major Nelson video podcast.
For the first time, the upcoming redesign codenamed Mercury became known in June, when a video with footage of the updated Xbox Store appeared on the network. At the same time, many noted that the new store is similar to the design that Microsoft tested for the Xbox app for PC.
