One of the main global releases of December on the mobile games market will be Black Desert Mobile. In the softlonch alone, the game generated more than half a million dollars in a month.

The soft launch of the game took place on October 24 in seven countries: Canada, Australia, Malaysia, Turkey, Chile, Sweden and Ireland.
According to DataMagic on November 24, the revenue of Black Desert Mobile amounted to $ 453 thousand, excluding the share of Google Play (the game is “soft” only in it). If you add the share of the store, it turns out that the players managed to spend $ 645 thousand in the game.
These figures are comparable to the Clash Royale softlonch. The Supercell game was also tested in a large number of countries at once (Canada, Finland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland). In them, from January 11 to February 11, 2016, she earned $503 thousand, excluding shares of the App Store and Google Play.
Important: Black Desert Mobile earned its half a million from 62 thousand downloads. In other words, the ARPU of the game was $7.24. As for Clash Royale, this game earned almost the same amount with 395 thousand installations. Her ARPU at the time of the softlonch was at $1.2.
Whether the Korean Pearl Abyss, the developer and publisher of Black Desert Mobile, will be able to scale and maintain commercial success after the global launch is an open question. On the other hand, the versions of the game for South Korea (released in January 2018), Japan (released in August 2018) and China (released in January 2019), together managed to earn $ 408 million.

In many ways, such indicators are due to the fact that Black Desert Mobile is a brand story.
As in the case of Lineage 2: Revolution from Netmarble, the developer took an already hyped name (Black Desert for “big” platforms was released in 2016) and under it offered the audience a new, original product made exclusively for the mobile platform in the same genre.
Recall that both games under the Black Desert brand are complex role-playing MMOs. In April of this year, their total revenue reached $1 billion. They differ significantly from each other, including mechanics. For example, in mobile, as in the already mentioned Lineage 2: Revolution, there is an automatic battle mode.
The global release of Black Desert Mobile is scheduled for December 11.
