Google Play banned games with loot boxes, where the chance of dropping items is not indicated

In addition to the changes in the Google Play rules, which App2Top.ru listed yesterday, Google clarified the list of prohibited content. In this regard, loot boxes are banned, unless the chance of obtaining valuable items is indicated in the game.

According to Android Police, Google Play now blocks apps that contain:

  • virtual loot boxes without a clear indication of how likely a player is to receive a valuable item.

The concepts are also clarified:

  • sexual content: these are nude or vulgarly dressed characters, images of sexual intercourse, fetish content, etc.;
  • the language of enmity: these are any statements that infringe on the dignity of groups protected by law, calls for discrimination;

In addition, Google has banned applications that facilitate or promote the sale of counterfeit goods; and completely useless applications without any functions.

The updated Google Play rules are not limited to the above. You can view the full list here.
