The top of the best-selling Steam games was headed by a game in Chinese
On Steam, the leader in the number of sales over the past week was a game that is focused exclusively on the Chinese audience and has no English localization.
We are talking about The Scroll of Taiwu, a premium bagel with a turn-based combat system and in the style of a close domestic Shadow Fight 2. The developer of the now popular game, which is now in early access, is ConchShip Games.

The project overtook in weekly sales such projects as PUBG, the Russian Pathfinder: Kingmaker, which debuted from the third place, as well as Monster Hunter: World, which recently appeared on the desktop.
The success of The Scroll of Taiwan speaks both about the increase in the Chinese audience on Steam, which has always been considered primarily a Western platform, and about the growing popularity of the Valve platform in China, where it has a serious competitor in the face of Tencent’s WeGame.
At the same time, Steam has not yet been officially launched in China. Only this summer it became known about the work in this direction. In June, it was reported that the Chinese publisher Perfect World will act as a local partner of Valve.
The growing popularity of Steam in China is associated with the advent of PUBG. After its release, millions of Chinese users came to Steam, who today turned out to be interested in other games.
