Social casinos from individual developers have started to be removed from the App Store
Apple decided to fight illegal activity in the App Store and began removing gambling apps from the store from individual developers. Moreover, not only gambling projects are being removed, but also games in the genre of social casinos.
The developer Patrick McCarron was the first to announce the new policy of the App Store owners on Twitter. His Blackjack 21 game, which appeared in the Apple store at the very beginning of its existence, was removed “because it simulated gambling And was developed by an individual developer.”
Wow Apple pulled my almost exactly 11 year old Blackjack 21 game from the AppStore due to it simulating gambling AND me being an individual developer.
Not sure if I want to incorporate at this point to put it back in there as I never had time to update it fully for iOS 11+. pic.twitter.com/POXloALY09

Apple’s decision is most likely also dictated by the company’s desire to clear the store of substandard projects and its unwillingness to be an intermediary in fraudulent schemes.
