PUBG has broken the absolute record of Dota 2 popularity on Steam

The multiplayer survival shooter Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds on Steam simultaneously gathered 1.3 million people in the game on September 16, surpassing the similar record of MOBA Dota 2.

According to the Steam Spy service, the peak attendance of PUBG was 1 million 322 thousand players, while Dota 2 did not gain more than 1 million 291 thousand people for the entire existence.

Thus, a game that does not belong to Valve has finally established itself at the top of Steam’s popularity.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds also beat the online shooter Destiny 2, which simultaneously gathered 1.2 million players in the first weekend after the launch.
