Astro Bot achieves significant success at the 2025 BAFTA Game Awards
Astro Bot emerged as the dominant title at the 2025 BAFTA Game Awards, securing five accolades, including the top honor of Best Game.
Developed by Team ASOBI, the celebrated PlayStation 5 platformer also clinched awards for Audio Achievement, Animation, Family, and Game Design during the event.
The horror game Still Wakes The Deep by British developer The Chinese Room earned three awards, with actors Alec Newman and Karen Dunbar receiving recognition for their roles in the game set on an oil rig.
Helldivers 2, a beloved cooperative game from the previous year, was honored with awards for Multiplayer and Music categories.
A diverse range of games was also acknowledged, including the card roguelike Balatro, platformer Neva, and the narrative action title Senua's Saga: Hellblade II.
The eligibility for the 21st BAFTA Game Awards required games to be launched between November 25, 2023, and November 15, 2024.
Additionally, the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship was bestowed upon pianist and composer Yoko Shimomura, recognized for her contributions to the Kingdom Hearts, Xenoblade, and Final Fantasy series, among others.
