Pokémon TCG Pocket hits 60 million downloads, already ranking as top-grossing mobile CCG in 2024
The Pokémon Company has shared a new milestone for Pokémon TCG Pocket. The collectible card game continues to solidify its position as one of the biggest mobile releases of 2024.
Pokémon TCG Pocket has generated over 60 million downloads globally since its global launch on October 30. The Pokémon Company also announced the Mythical Island expansion, which will add new cards and display board covers.
The game surpassed 10 million installs in just two days.
Although The Pokémon Company hasn’t disclosed other metrics, AppMagic estimates Pokémon TCG Pocket’s revenue at just over $185 million. This is a net revenue from in-app purchases reduced by platform fees and inclusive taxes.
Japan accounts for 44.3% of the total, followed by the US (24.5%), Taiwan (3.8%), Germany (3.7%), and South Korea (3.5%).
The US is the leader in downloads, accounting for 20.6% of the total. It is followed by Brazil (12.5%), France (8.1%), Japan (6.9%), and Mexico (6.4%).

Despite being released late in the year, Pokémon TCG Pocket has already become the top-grossing mobile card game of 2024 globally. According to AppMagic, the top 10 also includes Marvel Snap ($67 million), Hearthstone ($65.9 million), Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel ($52 million), Magic: The Gathering Arena ($33.3 million), and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links ($29.4 million).
When looking at games across all genres, Pokémon TCG Pocket currently ranks 52nd in net revenue, right between Konami’s Professional Baseball Spirits A ($186 million) and NetEase’s Identity V ($184.6 million).
