Xsolla has partnered with StarNest to launch a new academy dedicated to game development

In collaboration with the telecom company StarNest, Xsolla is launching a new academy focused on game development.

The initiative, developed with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) in Azerbaijan, aims to educate 90 young game designers and provides them with mentorship, financial resources, and global exposure for their projects.

Xsolla envisions creating a hub in Baku, including facilities that will serve as a technology center for Central Asia, as highlighted by PocketGamer.

Rytis Joseph Jan, Xsolla's Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Partnerships, remarked that the collaboration is a "major achievement" that will help tap into the region's potential.

He emphasized that by integrating their international expertise with the visionary leadership of Azerbaijani officials, the partnership will cultivate new talent and promote impactful innovations worldwide.

Additionally, Xsolla forecasts that mobile gaming will contribute $98.7 billion in total revenue by 2024, during which China is expected to lead the market with $34.6 billion in revenue.

The company's Autumn 2024 State of Play report predicts a 6.4% compound annual growth rate between 2024 and 2027, with the market projected to hit $118.9 billion by 2027.
