Now tinyBuild will pay $6.5 million for the Bad Pixel: it will give $4.9 million in cash and transfer $1.6 million in shares.

The company will pay another $10.6 million in shares over the next three years if the developers achieve certain financial goals.

According to tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik, he decided to purchase Bad Pixel after he spent over 100 hours playing Deadside.

Last year I started playing Deadside. And, probably, like all readers, I was waiting for updates with great excitement. So huge that I contacted the developers from Bad Pixel, and asked — how can we help in any way? After many hours of conversations, an interesting situation came out: a couple of years ago we went through exactly what the guys from the development team are going through now.

tinyBuild promised to help Bad Pixel with the development of a shooter. As the company hopes, this project “will benefit shareholders in the long term.” Bad Pixel will continue to operate as an independent studio.

Bad Pixel was founded in 2008. During this time, in addition to Deadside, she also worked on games such as UFO Online: Invasion and VR Enigma. Now there are seven developers working in the studio.

It should be noted that Bad Pixel is already the third Russian studio, which tinyBuild told about this year. In February, the company also announced the takeover of Moon Moose and Hungry Couch.
