Valheim sold over 1 million copies in just a week

The Viking survival Valheim, which recently conquered the Steam charts, has crossed the milestone of one million copies sold. It took the game only one week.

The Iron Gate studio shared Valheim’s successes in its official Steam blog. The developers thanked the players and jokingly noted that the sold edition can be compared with about 8,333 Viking—packed drakkars heading for the next conquest.

Now Valheim still holds a leading position in the top Steam bestsellers. In addition, in the Valve store, the peak online project about Vikings has grown to 188 thousand users (yesterday the studio called the number 160 thousand in its message). The maximum number of simultaneous viewers on Twitch has reached 127 thousand.

Now the developers are planning to add new content to Valheim, as well as fix all sorts of bugs.

Valheim appeared on Steam on February 2 as part of Early access. The game is based on Scandinavian mythology and offers players to explore the open world, fight with the characters of legends and build settlements. A cooperative mode for 10 players is also available.
