The BlizzCon festival will begin on February 20 and will be held online for the first time
This month Blizzard will host the BlizzCon Festival, which will be held online for the first time. The company revealed details of the free event and promised to show several “epic announcements”.
The festival will be timed to the 30th anniversary of Blizzard. The event will not only be held online for the first time due to the pandemic, but will also be completely free.
BlizzConline will open on February 20 at 1:00 Moscow time and will be dedicated to the company’s news, future games and announcements. The event will be held in the format of streams, which will be broadcast on six different channels.
The second day will be entirely devoted to the community and working with it. It will host: a series of questions and answers, creative contests, a murloc march, as well as a cosplay festival from people around the world.
The festival will be broadcast on the BlizzCon website, as well as on YouTube and Twitch. Individual events will be available in 12 languages at once, including Russian. Blizzard promises to share the detailed schedule of the festival later.
On BlizzConline, the company will also show materials on the sequels of its famous franchises — Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2. Perhaps some of these games will get at least an approximate release date.
