NieR: Automata has sold over 5 million copies
Almost four years after the release of NieR: Automata managed to overcome the milestone of 5 million copies sold. The statistics included both digital and disk sales of the title.
PlatinumGames announced the new achievement on the Japanese Twitter of the game. The studio thanked the fans of NieR: Automata and noted that it took into account sales on all platforms and around the world.
Analyst Daniel Ahmad has already commented on the success of the title. According to him, only in March 2020, the circulation of NieR: Automata was 500 thousand copies less. But it is not known how many of these copies were released for PC, and how many for consoles.
NieR: Automata was released in February 2017 for PS4 (in Japan, and the world release took place a month later). In mid-March, the developers also ported the game to PC. The title was warmly received by the audience. By April 2017, NieR: Automata had sold a combined circulation of 1 million copies.
Now you can also launch the PlatinumGames game on Xbox One, where the title appeared in the summer of 2018.
