Cyberpunk 2077 has become a hit in China even without an official release
Although Cyberpunk 2077 has not officially launched in China yet, the game has already proved to be in great demand among gamers in China. For example, on the opening day alone, the CD Projekt RED title was broadcast by 7.5 thousand Chinese streamers at once, and more than 19 million people watched their broadcasts.

- At one point, China even led in PC pre-orders of the game. Moreover, during its launch week, Cyberpunk 2077 was the best-selling game in the Chinese Steam segment;
- On the day of the world release, 7.5 thousand streamers broadcast Cyberpunk 2077 on the popular Chinese platforms Bilibili, Huya and DouYu. The number of viewers on the streams then exceeded 19 million;

- In addition, CD Projekt RED paid great attention to the Chinese localization of Cyberpunk 2077. The company collaborated with four recording studios and 150 voice actors, including local celebrities;
- despite the recognition from gamers, the game may still not officially appear in China. According to analysts, the country’s government may ban the game if it does not suit it. As it was, for example, a year ago with the indie horror Devotion;
- Meanwhile, China’s two largest gaming companies, Tencent and NetEase, have already announced the development of their own Cyberpunk 2077-style games.
