PUBG Mobile became the highest-grossing mobile game in July, earning $208 million

Analysts from Sensor Tower have published a report on the highest-grossing mobile project of last month. PUBG Mobile from Tencent earned the most in July with revenue of $208 million. Also in the overall top was a project from Playrix.The Sensor Tower report is based on data from the App Store and Google Play in the world, excluding revenue from third-party Android stores.

The final figures are based on the total amount of money spent by users in a particular game.

  • revenue from PUBG Mobile increased by 10.8% compared to last year’s figures for July. This was largely facilitated by the Chinese version of the project, which is distributed in the country under the name Game For Peace. It accounted for 56.6% of revenues, while revenue from players from the United States amounted to 5.6%;Honor of Kings, which is also published by Tencent, dropped to second place with revenue of $192 million (an increase of 34.8% compared to last year).

Homescapes game from the Russian studio Playrix rose to the tenth place in the overall chart. Revenue growth was also shown by projects such as Pokémon Go and the Japanese role-playing game Fate/Grand Order from Aniplex publishing.
