Technical vacancy of the week

Programmer with knowledge of C++ in Playrix (remote work)

The developer of Gardenscapes and Homescapes needs a programmer. He will participate in the development of old and new games of the company on a cross-platform engine written in C++.

Responsibilities:

  • programming of game mechanics and logic;
  • UI and visual effects programming;
  • optimization of game resources;
  • profiling and optimization of the game by memory and FPS;
  • working with the SDK of third-party services;
  • development of auxiliary tools (level editors, maps, effects, various utilities, etc.).

Requirements:

  • at least 3 years of C++ development experience;
  • knowledge of OOP, basic algorithms and data structures;
  • knowledge of technical English;
  • responsibility, independence, ability to work in a team;
  • game development experience, development experience for iOS or Android platforms are welcome;
  • experience in working with computer graphics, experience in Python development is welcome.

Art vacancy of the week

VFX artist in DataVision Studio (remote work)

This St. Petersburg studio creates games on Unity. Now it is actively engaged in the mobile title Heroics, released in early access. She needs a VFX effects specialist for this project.

Responsibilities:

  • creation of special effects for game scenes, environment objects, weapons and characters based on Unity Particle Systems;
  • creation of particles, materials, post-processing for VFX;
  • creating textures, texture atlases, 3D models, shaders, animations, etc.;
  • development of necessary tools and game systems together with a team of programmers.

Requirements:

  • availability of a VFX portfolio for mobile games, experience with effects in mobile games;
  • understanding the principles of color, light, composition and animation;
  • experience working with Unity and Unity Particle Systems, basic programming skills;
  • confident command of basic graphic tools (Photoshop, any 3D editor);
  • activity and initiative.

ASO-vacancy of the week

Senior ASO Specialist at ZiMAD (Minsk, Belarus)

ZiMAD is looking for an ASO specialist. The company expects that he will customize the visual elements on the store page and will work with the algorithms of the App Store and Google Play, as well as increase the conversion rate to downloads.

Responsibilities:

  • development and assistance in optimizing landing pages (ASO) for all our games and applications (real-time and software launches) together with product development teams, User Acquisition, Promo Design and other services responsible for each game;
  • ASO project management: optimization of keywords and conversion rate in the App Store and Google Play;
  • development and testing of metadata and creative concepts for the application page in storages (description, icon, screenshots, video) to increase conversion and visibility;
  • managing the creative creation of new resources and localizations together with our marketing team and external partners;
  • monitoring of world ratings and features in the proposed sections of the applications;
  • identifying trends and regularly testing new strategies in the ASO space;
  • development, execution and tracking of A/B testing of our games using various analytical tools and in close cooperation with ZiMAD analysts;
  • a deep understanding of how paid search (Apple Search Ads and Google UAC), influencers and advertising campaigns affect store visits and how to use this information;
  • monitoring and studying of competitors’ games and trends;
  • adaptation of metadata and creatives taking into account regional peculiarities of markets in different countries;
  • reporting on the effectiveness of various ASO strategies;

Requirements:

  • solid experience in ASO in the mobile application industry (preferably games). You are aware of all the latest changes and features of the App Store and Google Play;
  • in-depth knowledge of all visual aspects of the store page and their use to increase conversion;
  • experience in developing ASO strategies;
  • experience in increasing organic traffic;
  • professional experience in ASO, which can show a real impact on natural downloads;
  • deep understanding of the optimization process of keywords, key indicators, App Store Connect and Google Play console;
  • experience in creating ideas for experiments in the store, experience in conducting A/B tests;
  • ability to express your thoughts clearly and answer both simple and complex professional questions;
  • strong English (knowledge of Russian will be a big plus);
  • experience in making decisions based on data in a rapidly changing environment;
  • excellent Excel knowledge and analytical skills;
  • striving for results and over-fulfillment of planned indicators;
  • knowledge of ASO tools;
  • organization, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team;
  • a modest and honest approach;
  • passion for games;
  • having contacts in stores will be an advantage.
