Gismart invited musicians to promote themselves in the company's hyper-casual games

Minsk-based Gismart is looking for more than just developers. The company has announced an affiliate program for musicians. She is ready not only to promote them through her products, but also to share the proceeds with them.

Few details have been publicly disclosed. It is known that Gismart, as part of a new initiative, offers musicians (both groups and solo artists) various integrations of their songs and compositions (as well as images of the performers themselves) into the company’s new game releases. New partners are promised both a large audience and money.

The ways of integration into Gismart games will be selected individually depending on the goals of the artist partner and the content of the game. The main condition of any partnership is the integration of a musician in one form or another into the game — be it his visual image or music. Gismart will be responsible for the monetization and marketing of the game, including investing a multimillion-dollar budget in advertising campaigns, ensuring the recruitment of a large audience. In addition to using the game as a marketing platform, the artist will share the profits from the game with the publisher.

One of the possible types of cooperation may be the demonstration of music videos in the game itself. “On average, a user within one gaming session [In a hyper-casual game. — Editor’s note.] watches from 5 to 10 screenings of promotional videos, which can be directed, among other things, to the promotion of an artist partner,” writes Gismart.

The initiative is partly positioned as the company’s desire to help musicians who, due to the pandemic, have lost the main source of their earnings – “live” concerts. Gismart believes that its program can become one of the alternative ways for musicians to “communicate with the audience and promote their new singles, albums, performances.”

Working with musicians is not new for Gismart. Most of her portfolio, as the company representatives themselves say, is music applications. And, with regard to them, the developer already has agreements and contracts concluded with labels such as Universal Music Publishing Group and Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Moreover, Minsk developers have previously worked directly with various musicians. For example, they were placed in the application Beat Maker Go compositions by The Chainsmokers.

Another thing is that now we are talking specifically about hyper-casual games of the company. And it’s not entirely clear exactly how the company sees the integration of music tracks from various artists into their games.
