Voodoo spoke about a new approach to the pre-release measurement of KPI
Publisher Voodoo has changed the approach to choosing games for publication. Recently, it has implemented a “more flexible” KPI measurement system for projects. And thanks to this, he has released several new hits, including Woodturning.

The MGV edition writes about this with reference to the representative of Voodoo, Youssef Gasmi.
According to him, the publisher used to evaluate only the retention and CPI of future titles. This approach, Gasmi notes, turned out to be too strict.
Voodoo has taken a fresh look at the measurement of KPI. Now the giant takes into account a number of metrics:
- from technical: retention, duration of sessions, percentage of winnings, volume of content, depth of gameplay and its potential;
- from marketing: CPI, the ratio of the number of clicks to the number of advertising impressions and compliance with the intended niche.
That is, the company began to take into account many variables when evaluating the strengths of the project. As Gasmi notes, this allowed to increase the chances of the publisher’s partners to publish their games. For Voodoo itself, this is an opportunity to diversify its portfolio.
Thanks to the new approach, such hits as aquapark.io , Push ’Em All and Woodturning 3D. The latter, we recall, became the most downloaded hypercausal title in February. Now its downloads have reached 62 million.
At the same time, Voodoo recognizes that under the previous KPI evaluation system, the above projects would not have seen the light.
French Voodoo is one of the largest publishers of hyper—casual. The total installations of its projects by the end of last year exceeded 2.6 billion.
