The remake of Resident Evil 3 sold 2 million copies at the start
The initial sales of Resident Evil 3 Remake became known. In five days since the release, the game from Capcom has sold 2 million copies. Digital and retail sales were equally distributed.
2 million copies is more than half of the sold circulation of the original Resident Evil 3. Sales of the latter for 15 years amounted to 3.5 million copies, writes PCGamesN.
Nevertheless, the remake of Resident Evil 3 fell short of last year’s rethinking of Resident Evil 2. According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, the remake of the second part of the series sold 3 million copies at the start. A total of 6.5 million copies have been sold since the beginning of 2019 Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Note that a rumor has appeared in the media about the development of the next remake — Resident Evil 4. More information about this can be found in our material.
