CD Projekt became the third Polish company by capitalization
CD Projekt entered the top three most expensive companies on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Even the largest oil refinery in Poland has been left behind.
According to Segment Next, two weeks ago the capitalization of the gaming publisher exceeded $8 billion (31.5 billion zloty). This made it the third largest company in the country on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The publisher of The Witcher was in the top three together with the banking network PKO “Polish Bank” (in first place) and the insurance company PZU (in first place). Even the oil company PKN Orlen has a lower capitalization at the moment.
In addition, now the cost of one share of CD Projekt exceeds $ 80. For half a month, it has never dropped below $75. The price per share skyrocketed simultaneously with the rapid ascent of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the UK charts. A little later, the publisher boasted of a 554% increase in sales of the game.
Segment Next does not exclude that after the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the shares and capitalization of the publisher will rise even higher. In this case, CD Projekt has a chance to lead the top of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Its current leader, PKO, now has a capitalization of $11 billion.
