ZeptoLab has released the runner Om Nom: Run in the soft launch
ZeptoLab is testing a mobile game from the Cut the Rope series in a soft launcher. We tell you how its new runner Om Nom: Run works and is being monetized.
What kind of game?
At first glance, it is a classic runner, similar to Subway Surface from Kiloo and SYBO Games. The main character of the series, the monster Am Yum, rushes through the streets of the town of Nyamville, overcoming obstacles and collecting coins. Bonuses are available to the player to clear fences or increase speed, writes Pocket Gamer.
The game cycle is divided into chapters, and each chapter is divided into missions. The mission is a run for a certain distance (for example, 600 meters). Energy is spent on its launch.
The gold collected during the run allows you to open new locations, unlock and upgrade other heroes of the Cut the Rope series. You can also get gold from the chests available during the mission, as well as by playing roulette.
Om Nom:Run contains IAP and advertising. Viewing an ad allows you to:
- increase the reward for the completed mission by 5 times;
- get an unblocked hero for one run yet;
- spin the roulette wheel once again and collect more gold;
- save the hero who failed the mission.
Note: the game already has ranks and a leaderboard. As a reward for reaching the rank, you can get prize coins.
Where is the game available?
Om Nom: Run soft is being launched in the Philippines. Now it is available only to Android users.

They are not there yet. The game has been in the soft launch for two weeks, the metrics achieved by it are not called. There is also no information about the game on the publisher’s website.
Now the development of IP Om Nom is entirely handled by a separate internal structure of the publisher — ZeptoLab Green. But they will publish a new runner, probably under the main brand of the company, as it was with Om Nom: Merge. This was the first project of the newly formed branch. It is worth noting that ZeptoLab also chose not to share its metrics on the soft launch.
The first mobile title from the Cut the Rope series was released in 2010. The installations of all her projects have recently exceeded 1 billion. The franchise includes a popular animated series (15 billion views on YouTube) and merchandising. ZeptoLab Green is also engaged in licensing the brand.
