Jedi: Fallen Order sold 8 million copies in a month and a half
Sales of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order reached 8 million copies. EA expects to bring them to 10 million by the end of the fiscal year.
The publisher announced this figure to investors following the results of the 3rd financial quarter. EA report for the period App2Top.ru published today, January 31.
According to early forecasts, the game was supposed to sell 6-8 million copies by the end of March 2020. Now, the publisher has told investors that Fallen Order’s sales for the quarter “exceeded expectations” and “reached the upper predicted bar.” Although the publisher did not name the exact number of copies sold.
As a result, EA raised the sales forecast for Fallen Order at the end of the fiscal year. The announced 10 million copies are still less than that of Star Wars: Battlefront for the same period (its result is 13-14 million copies). But for an exclusively single game, Respawn’s brainchild has excellent indicators. This is despite the fact that in the last report EA called its driving force network games-services, and in general makes a smaller bet on single-player titles.
The action-adventure game from Respawn studio was released in mid-November. Its launch was one of the best in comparison with other Star Wars games. A significant role in this was played by the exit to Steam.
