Supercell continues to kill its games. Next in line — Rush Wars
Supercell will close the Rush Wars project. This PvP strategy didn’t even have time to get out of the soft launch.
In August, the Finns announced the soft launch of Rush Wars in Canada, New Zealand and Australia. The company hoped that the game would spend less time in the soft launch than, for example, Brawl Stars.
But within three months, Supercell realized that Rush Wars is too monotonous. This was the main reason for its closure.
“The feedback we received made it clear that the gameplay (Rush Wars) feels repetitive. We have uploaded several updates. However, the changes made did not help to improve it in the long run and did not affect the style of the game so much that it became quite exciting,” the company reports in its blog.
The problems of Rush Wars are also reflected in the metrics it has achieved. According to Sensor Tower, Rush Wars has been downloaded 393 thousand times in three months. Her income in the soft launch was $312 thousand. Thus, one installation on average brought Supercell $0.80.
Analysts compare this result with the revenue of Coin Master slots from Moon Active. They have $6.20 per installation.
The game will officially close on November 30. Monetization has already been disabled in it.
